Blog Post 3: Waves

1. which takes more energy, slow up and down, or fast up and down?
      fast

2. fast frequency corresponds to low energy or high energy?
     high energy

3. Determine the frequency of the provided wave(frequency 27, amplitude 50)in Hz?
    0.98 Hz

4. Determine the frequency of the provided wave(frequency 100, amplitude 50) in Hz?
   3.7 Hz

5. Determine the frequency of the provided wave(frequency 27and amplitude 100) in Hz.
   0.98 Hz

6. What is the wavelength of the provided wave(frequency 27, amplitude 50)in cm?
   58 cm

7. What is the wavelength of the provided wave(frequency 100, amplitude 50)in cm?
   16 cm

8. Describe the relationships between energy, frequency and wavelength. Include descriptions for relationships of all three.
More frequency is less wavelength and for have more frequency you need more energy, if want less frequency, energy will be less and wavelength will be longer.

Blog Post 2: Unit Cell of NaCl

Blog Post 1: Describe 10 nm and mole of atoms

  • ·         Length your fingernail grows in approx. 10 seconds
  • ·         Nanometer = nm
  • ·         A strand of human DNA  is 2.5 nanometers in diameter
  • ·         A sheet of paper is about 100,000 nanometers thick
  • ·         There are 25,400,000 nanometers in one inch
  • ·         A human hair is approximately 80,000 nanometers wide
  • ·         A single gold atom is about a third of a nanometer in diameter
  • ·         On a comparative scale, if the diameter of a marble was one nanometer, then diameter of the Earth would be about one meter”
  • ·         One nanometer is about as long as your fingernail grows in one second
  • ·         Nanometer is the amount an average man’s beard grows in the time it takes  him to raise the razor to his face

  • ·         1 mole = 6.0221415e+23
  • ·         1 mole is defined as the SI unit of amount of substance, equal to the quantity containing as many elementary units as there are atoms in 0.012 kg of carbon-12
  • ·         The basic unit of a chemical element
